Recycle South (formally Southland disAbility Enterprises) is a non-profit in Southland providing recycling services to businesses, farmers, and the community. They offer employment opportunities to people with disabilities to enrich their lives. They approached us with logo in hand and ready to take on a full rebrand to better align their business in the direction it was going. It was an opportunity to strengthen their look to encompass growth, modernity, and represent the new services on offer. After all, a rebrand isn’t just about the execution, it’s also about unpacking the reason behind it, building a strategy, and planning the launch. The rebrand required a lot of supporting parts, all needing to fit within the budget of a not-for-profit organisation.
Alongside a new look, Recycle South wanted a fresh, easy to navigate website that told the story of who they are, what they do, and readily highlights the exciting new service on offer. Their new service involved machinery that was the first of its kind In New Zealand, offering a much-needed agricultural plastic waste recycling service to Southland farmers.
An exciting new service this big deserved a lot of marketing and advertising to get the word out. We sprang into action, putting together an easy to follow but incredibly thorough campaign schedule that included advertising for print, social media, radio, and digital ads. The schedule outlined in-depth exactly what the campaign would involve from start to finish. Ourselves and the client could easily keep track of the budget, identify where we were advertising, what ads were running and when, make sure brand messaging was cohesive and there were no periods without an active ad, it also allowed us to gauge a timeline of when to change campaign graphics and messaging. Working to a well-defined schedule ensured that attention was paid to every detail.
Our ongoing marketing strategy for Recycle South is constantly evolving as we, and they, learn more about what the public want and what is most effective.
“Talk Visual put together a work plan and drove a very successful rebrand launch for our business. We found the entire team, lead by Haylee to be highly organised and professional from start to finish of this launch. We were particularly impressed with both their writing abilities and their digital know-how, as well as the management of our social media content. We were so impressed by their professionalism and service that they are now our media liaison specialists for all areas of our business. A wonderful bubbly team of committed people.”
We know working with a design team can seem daunting. But here’s a few common questions that tell you a little more about working with us.
Every client and project is unique, but our objective always remains the same. Unlike other studios where you will only communicate with a project manager, every one of us is hands-on, and your point of contact will be the person working directly on your project. This ensures a more personalised and direct line of communication and allows for a better understanding and execution of your vision.
Something unique about us is we are all on the tools! What does this mean for you? Well, it means you when you meet with us and brainstorm for a project you will be talking with someone who has a good understanding of how the ideas could be executed, pick up any road bumps or even push the ideas further.
Something unique about us is we are all on the tools! What does this mean for you? Well, it means when you meet with us to brainstorm a project, you will be talking with someone who has an understanding of how the ideas could be executed, can pick up any road bumps, make recommendations, or push ideas even further.
Our team is intentionally small, valuing direct client contact and having the ability to deliver a more personalised experience.
Many of the skills needed within graphic design and visual communication services relate to one another. With a strong theoretical and practical understanding (as well as a heck of a lot of experience) our team can be versatile in the services we offer.
But we also know our limits, having a range of other specialist professionals in our contact list to take charge when a required skill isn’t our strong suit.
Each of us understands the value of personal and professional development, and we never stop learning newskills or taking the time for training.
Not at all! We work with clients from various locations, and geographical proximity is not a limitation. We can communicate effectively through virtual meetings, phone calls, and email. Regardless of your location, we are committed to providing the same level of dedication and support to all our clients.
