We only cut corners if they don’t fit your brand

About Us

Talk Visual – a home to creative thinkers. We offer clients not only our experience, but the benefit of a small yet dynamic studio. This means you receive our absolute attention, and superior access to our varied creative talents as every one of us is on the tools and understands the grind. You will have the ease of working directly with the person creating your project.

Working lean and smart, our Invercargill based studio has the experience and capability to handle a wide range of projects and always enjoy the challenge of designing unique solutions. We know that within the creative industry, there are so many unnecessary expenses that get passed on to the client. Thanks to better processes, staying intentionally small, and only having the necessary skills needed on staff, we cut the excess costs and make graphic design available for a wider range of clients.

While we might be intentionally small, we punch well above our weight and were recognised for our hard yakka as finalists for Small Business of the Year at the 2023 Southern Green Hydrogen Southland Business Excellence Awards.

We offer a variety of services that we use to help you inspire change. No matter the size of your business we will have something to suit your needs. We are friendly and always have time to hear your goals. Our success is based on helping you achieve yours!

Our Why

At Talk Visual, we design, deliver and help brands grow using outstanding creativity powered by smart strategy and thoughtful execution.

We come into the studio each day armed with three simple beliefs:
1. Every business deserves to look good.
2. There is a solution to every problem.
3. Laugh, and enjoy what we do for our clients.

We’re here because everyone has a message to communicate and a story to tell. Whether you’ve got a new business to show off, critical information to share with staff, need communications for shareholders, or want to connect with potential customers on social media, we want to set you up with a solution that gets results and makes damn sure you look good getting there!

Meet the Talk Visual Team

Haylee Officer, Talk Visual's Creative Director, Southland

With a Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design and an insatiable love for all things brand strategy and design, Haylee dove headfirst into the creative industry in 2011. Fueled by ambition and a passion for the industry, she took the leap of faith from designer to owner, shaping what is now Talk Visual.

Against all earthly odds, Haylee isn’t just a Jack of all trades – she’s a master of them! With her down-to-earth and refreshingly honest attitude, she’ll deliver creative and smart design solutions for your brand.

During her downtime, you’ll find her sweating it out at the gym, going for walks with her family or enjoying a cheeky Jameson.

Kameron Corbin, Creative Assistant at Talk Visual in Invercargill

With a background in administration and creating social media content, Kameron fell head over heels for the creative industry. Originally joining the team for administrative tasks, she’s now right in the thick of it and in her final year of study for a diploma of digital marketing.

Outside of a desk and chair Kameron can be found creating art, tending to her ridiculous number of houseplants, or playing video games.

FAQs

We know working with a design team can seem daunting. But here’s a few common questions that tell you a little more about working with us.

Every client and project is unique, but our objective always remains the same. Unlike other studios where you will only communicate with a project manager, every one of us is hands-on, and your point of contact will be the person working directly on your project. This ensures a more personalised and direct line of communication and allows for a better understanding and execution of your vision.

Something unique about us is we are all on the tools! What does this mean for you? Well, it means you when you meet with us and brainstorm for a project you will be talking with someone who has a good understanding of how the ideas could be executed, pick up any road bumps or even push the ideas further.

Something unique about us is we are all on the tools! What does this mean for you? Well, it means when you meet with us to brainstorm a project, you will be talking with someone who has an understanding of how the ideas could be executed, can pick up any road bumps, make recommendations, or push ideas even further.

Our team is intentionally small, valuing direct client contact and having the ability to deliver a more personalised experience.

Many of the skills needed within graphic design and visual communication services relate to one another. With a strong theoretical and practical understanding (as well as a heck of a lot of experience) our team can be versatile in the services we offer.

But we also know our limits, having a range of other specialist professionals in our contact list to take charge when a required skill isn’t our strong suit.

Each of us understands the value of personal and professional development, and we never stop learning newskills or taking the time for training.

Not at all! We work with clients from various locations, and geographical proximity is not a limitation. We can communicate effectively through virtual meetings, phone calls, and email. Regardless of your location, we are committed to providing the same level of dedication and support to all our clients.
