Progress can’t happen when you’re standing still. Real growth comes from making the decision to create something new. As a studio, we all knew that there was a growing change in direction from what the business had originally started as, to where we were going. A rebrand was definitely on the cards at some point in the future, we found brand strategy meetings always came down to the same question – “who is A D Design?”. And honestly, we were finding it difficult to answer.

After a few studio conversations, one thing became very clear – our brand no longer reflected us or where we saw ourselves in the future. If you want to get something accomplished, then there is no time like the present (or a Covid-19 lockdown) to charge ahead with a rebrand!

August 2021’s lockdown gave us time to get swept into a creative storm and start building the story we wanted to tell. Through the magic of Zoom, we began brainstorming names, logos, taglines, and everything else that comes with a rebrand.

Rebrand

The hardest part was coming up with a new name. It needed to be descriptive but not too literal or vague, memorable, original, and easy to understand. With the team firing on all creative cylinders for a few days, we came up with the name “Talk Visual” – a ‘goldilocks’ name that still feels just right.

Now that we had the name, it was time to move to the fun part—the logo! The final product of our whirlwind rebrand was a clean, legible typeface coupled with an icon. We designed our logo to be attention-grabbing, easy to digest, and comfortable to reproduce across all digital platforms and print media. This logo held onto our core values and brought new energy to our little studio.

For us, rebranding was a necessary step in the development of our team and pushing our position forward in a competitive market. We are thrilled with the outcome and know that we created a new brand that reflects our new-found maturity and expertise in the industry.

The feedback we got from our clients reconfirmed that this was the right decision for us.

OMG, I LOVE THIS – You have smashed it; great rebranding!!!!!
Awesome!! Good stuff, I like the name too.  All the best with moving forward, stoked for ya!

FAQs

We know working with a design team can seem daunting. But here’s a few common questions that tell you a little more about working with us.

Every client and project is unique, but our objective always remains the same. Unlike other studios where you will only communicate with a project manager, every one of us is hands-on, and your point of contact will be the person working directly on your project. This ensures a more personalised and direct line of communication and allows for a better understanding and execution of your vision.

Something unique about us is we are all on the tools! What does this mean for you? Well, it means you when you meet with us and brainstorm for a project you will be talking with someone who has a good understanding of how the ideas could be executed, pick up any road bumps or even push the ideas further.

Something unique about us is we are all on the tools! What does this mean for you? Well, it means when you meet with us to brainstorm a project, you will be talking with someone who has an understanding of how the ideas could be executed, can pick up any road bumps, make recommendations, or push ideas even further.

Our team is intentionally small, valuing direct client contact and having the ability to deliver a more personalised experience.

Many of the skills needed within graphic design and visual communication services relate to one another. With a strong theoretical and practical understanding (as well as a heck of a lot of experience) our team can be versatile in the services we offer.

But we also know our limits, having a range of other specialist professionals in our contact list to take charge when a required skill isn’t our strong suit.

Each of us understands the value of personal and professional development, and we never stop learning newskills or taking the time for training.

Not at all! We work with clients from various locations, and geographical proximity is not a limitation. We can communicate effectively through virtual meetings, phone calls, and email. Regardless of your location, we are committed to providing the same level of dedication and support to all our clients.
