The creative addition to the puzzle

With a background in hairdressing, and property law, it may sound like a career path straight out of Legally Blonde, but this little Elle Woods has found herself at home! Make no mistake, Kameron is creatively witty and up for a challenge.

Kameron moved around a lot in her early years, she lived in some very unique places such as a boat,  the old freezing works at Bluff (her family had turned it into a Paua farm!), and eventually found herself in Invercargill. Here, she went to high school and discovered her love of words and art.

Unsure how to combine everything she wanted to do into one path, she decided to put her creative talents at the forefront and studied hairdressing. She fell in love with creating visual content, often spending her free time dreaming up concepts for styling editorial photoshoots. She managed to bag herself a few award-winning titles, including New Zealand’s Next Generation Editorial Hairstylist of the Year in 2016.

Although she loved the industry, she discovered she loved creating content more. This prompted the move to a law firm where she helped build their presence on social media and honed her skills in administration as a legal assistant.

Seeing the opportunity at Talk Visual (then called A D Design) in 2021, Kameron jumped at the chance to join a creative environment where she could put the left side of her brain to work! Originally joining the team for administrative tasks, Kameron put her skills to work and gained more and more responsibility for helping out with projects. Now she’s right in the thick of it, doing copywriting, research, strategy, content creation, and learning her way around design. Kameron decided to take up formal training and is well on her way to completing a diploma in digital marketing – it’s safe to say she’s absolutely head over heels for the industry!

Outside of the studio, Kameron can be found creating art, tending to her ridiculous number of houseplants, playing games online with her friends, or literally herding cats (she has 4!). Occasionally, Kameron will venture outside to hit the gym or work in the vege garden.
