Hello! Gather around! We’d like to take you on a tour around our studio space!
We will be stopping off at key sightseeing spots to see the natural habitat of some graphic designers.
Our studio is based on the ground floor of a busy office building, it is light and modern, with an open-plan layout. It’s full of inspiration and colour – a real lived-in work environment.
After moving into the space in 2017, we have made little pockets of design inspiration to really make it our own. Putting together a space where creativity can flourish is one of the most important creative self-care ideas to include when decorating a studio. It was important for us to liven up the clinical, serious office vibe with colour and texture. A creative mind needs stimulation that four white walls just can’t provide.
We are pretty obsessed with our little studio space, and what better way to give you a peek inside our minds than by going on a tour of the space where we make magic!
Let’s explore our creative haven.
Perhaps one of the first things you notice when walking into the space is our collection of inspiring packaging. We are obsessed with well designed, functional packaging. Keeping a collection of colour schemes, patterns and images that you wouldn’t usually expect to see together gives life to unique designs and inspires us to think outside of the box.
The workstation of a creative!
A workstation shouldn’t feel restrictive. Our sit-to-stand desks awaken the brain and give freedom to move, all while being a health booster! The big, wide desks allow space for organisation and chaos! Sometimes during a hard-core brainstorming session, organisation might go out the window – but it’s important we have room for a bunch of post-it notes and multiple coloured pens. Once the creative storm has passed, it’s back to organisation.
Nothing beats print!
Our shelves are full of a selection of magazines, books, and creative inspiration – topped off with the freshness of greenery. The internet has absolutely changed how we approach research and keeping up to date with the newest design trends, but nothing quite beats sitting in a quiet spot with design books, post it notes, and a cup of coffee.
Coffee and off-screen time!
Relaxing, strategising, socialising, and a whole bunch of coffee drinking happens here! Drenched in the morning light, we sit down each day and take a break together. The space can also be used for casual client meetings, a warm spot to sit and have lunch, or a creative breakout area to draw or research.
The final stop of our tour is the wall of inspiration!
An ever-changing work of progress that can be added to as new daily mantras are needed or aesthetically pleasing images are found. Surrounding ourselves with things we love is key to the creative process. It’s interesting to see what we add and subtract as the team develops as a creative unit.
Inspiration and creative stimulation is everywhere here. We come to work and do what we love, in a space we love. It’s a beautiful amalgamation of all of our unique styles in one cohesive, functional studio!
