Talk Visual – a home to creative thinkers obsessed with helping businesses like yours.

We offer local and remote clients not only our experience but the benefit of a small and dynamic studio. We know that within the creative industry, there are so many unnecessary expenses that get passed on to the client. But we focus on keeping better processes, staying intentionally small, and only having the necessary skills needed on staff, which allows us to cut the excess costs, making graphic design and marketing available for a wider range of clients.

Being well-established in the industry, we’ve worked with all kinds of clients across sectors like financial institutions, professional services, environmental, and transport, solving all kinds of problems. While our portfolio page showcases a variety of projects, it doesn’t show everything due to confidentiality.

Every business is unique, and we think your designs and strategies should be too. We take the time to understand your challenges and goals, crafting solutions that fit like a glove.

A massive advantage of a small team is the “small classroom” feel to how much attention one individual client gets – they’re not just a number in a sea of other businesses. Our owner/operator Haylee is in the trenches every day (and she wouldn’t have it any other way). Problem solving on the spot? Generating ideas mid-meeting? That’s just how we roll.

Haylee Officer, Talk Visual's Creative Director, Southland

Haylee is the type of creative professional who blends artistic vision with strategic insight. With a Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design and over a decade of experience, Talk Visual was created to bring her collaborative approach to businesses looking to stand out in their industries.

With a knack for uncovering creative opportunities where others see challenges, Haylee takes a hands-on approach, paired with a strategic mindset to ensure every problem is met with the perfect outcome. Whether you’re looking to refine your brand identity, revitalise your marketing efforts or for guidance on your next move, Haylee’s expertise offers solutions that resonate with the public.

Off the clock, Haylee is all about balance – you’ll find her sweating it out at the gym, going for walks with her family, having a swing at the golf course or enjoying a cheeky whiskey.

Kameron Corbin, Creative Assistant at Talk Visual in Invercargill

With a background in administration and social media content creation, Kameron fell head over heels for the creative industry. Originally joining the team for administrative tasks, she quickly found herself drawn to the world of design. Now with a diploma in digital marketing under her belt, she’s fully immersed in bringing creative ideas to life.

Kameron thrives on problem-solving through creative services, crafting compelling campaigns, and finding innovative ways to connect businesses with their audiences.

Outside of a desk and chair, she can be found painting, crafting, or tackling DIY projects. Kameron’s also a plant parent with a collection that’s probably getting out of hand, and a regular gamer who loves getting immersed in exciting stories.

Cat Hulse - Senior Creative at Talk Visual Invercargill

With a passion for clever design and engaging visual content, well-honed copy writing skills and a great eye for detail, Cat will deliver on all your brand and marketing objectives.

Cat graduated with a Bachelor in Graphic Arts and Design, and began her career in Manchester, UK before relocating to New Zealand and refining her design and marketing expertise across various sectors.

After living and loving Invercargill for three years, Cat now works remotely from Christchurch but regularly joins the team for in-person catch ups and a Southland sushi fix! Outside of the studio, Cat is kept busy with family life, house renos and a good old’ Netflix series.

We know working with a design team can seem daunting. But here’s a few common questions that tell you a little more about working with us.

Every client and project is unique, but our objective always remains the same. Unlike other studios where you will only communicate with a project manager, every one of us is hands-on, and your point of contact will be the person working directly on your project. This ensures a more personalised and direct line of communication and allows for a better understanding and execution of your vision.

Something unique about us is we are all on the tools! What does this mean for you? Well, it means you when you meet with us and brainstorm for a project you will be talking with someone who has a good understanding of how the ideas could be executed, pick up any road bumps or even push the ideas further.

Our team is intentionally small, valuing direct client contact and having the ability to deliver a more personalised experience.

Many of the skills needed within graphic design and visual communication services relate to one another. With a strong theoretical and practical understanding (as well as a heck of a lot of experience) our team can be versatile in the services we offer.

But we also know our limits, having a range of other specialist professionals in our contact list to take charge when a required skill isn’t our strong suit.

Each of us understands the value of personal and professional development, and we never stop learning newskills or taking the time for training.

Not at all! We work with clients from various locations, and geographical proximity is not a limitation. We can communicate effectively through virtual meetings, phone calls, and email. Regardless of your location, we are committed to providing the same level of dedication and support to all our clients.
